Aunt Mary’s Storybook Project (AMS) was launched by Companions Journeying Together (CJTINC) in 1993. They aim to keep families connected with their children through audio recordings of age-appropriate children's books and a short personal message. The Center for Correctional Concerns works with volunteers from CJTINC to strengthen family bonds and support emotional well-being by enabling participants to record themselves reading stories to their children. This partnership and commitment to supporting families through creative engagement remains a cornerstone in facilitating positive outcomes for reintegration and long-term family stability.

The Center for Correctional Concerns provides education and preparation as well as proctoring GED tests. In addition we provide English as a Second Language, literacy classes, enrichment classes for those who have a high school diploma, and computer classes.

In addition to much needed educational books, Bibles (both English and Spanish), inspirational books on change, and various classroom supplies, CCC gratefully accepts office supplies and refreshments for our staff and volunteers.

“I was able to understand how I could be a better father and appreciate my child after taking my parenting class.”

A man wearing glasses and a denim jacket holding a young boy in front of a blue garage door, and kissing him on the cheek.

“I didn’t realize all the rage I was holding inside me until I took Anger Management classes. It’s changed the way I think about who I am.”
